Terms and conditions
Last updated 28 August 2026
These terms govern the sale of pixel space on The Million Euro Website (“the site”), operated by VCons (“we”, “us”), registered at R. das Marias 12, 2725-999 Mem Martins, Portugal. By buying pixels you accept them.
1. What you are buying
You are buying the right to display an image and a link in a defined rectangular area of the grid, at €1 per pixel. The smallest purchase is 1×1 pixels (€1).
You are not buying ownership of the pixels, the domain, or any part of the site itself. You are buying display space, for the period described in section 6.
2. How a purchase works
Selecting an area places a hold on it for 15 minutes. Holds are free and expire automatically, returning the pixels to sale.
At checkout your card is authorised, not charged. The money is only taken when your block is approved. If we do not approve it, the authorisation is released and you are never charged.
3. Review, and our right to refuse
Every submission is reviewed by a person before it appears. We may refuse any submission, for any reason, at our sole discretion. Reasons include but are not limited to: illegal content, sexual content, content depicting or targeting minors, harassment, hate speech, malware, deceptive imagery, impersonation of a person or organisation, and links to any of the above.
Refusal is not a judgement about you, and a refused submission costs you nothing. You are welcome to submit different artwork.
4. Refunds
Before approval, there is nothing to refund: you have not been charged.
After approval, sales are final and pixels are sold as-is. The space has been permanently allocated to you at that point and cannot be resold. We do not offer refunds for a change of mind, a change of business, a mistake in your artwork, or dissatisfaction with the traffic you receive. We make no representation whatsoever about traffic, clicks, visibility or commercial benefit.
This does not affect any statutory rights you have that cannot be waived by agreement.
5. Links, and removal of them
Your link must use http or https and must point to a publicly reachable website. All outbound links on this site carry rel="sponsored nofollow", meaning they are declared to search engines as paid placements and pass no ranking value. Buying pixels here will not improve your search ranking, and anyone selling you that idea is misleading you.
We may disable your link, without refund, if it later points to malware, phishing, illegal material, or content that would have been refused at review. We check links periodically and act on reports. Where the link is disabled but the image remains acceptable, the image stays on the grid.
6. How long the site stays online
We intend to keep the site online and your block visible until at least 31 December 2031 — a commitment of at least 5 years from launch.
We cannot promise the internet is forever. If the site must close before that date, we will give at least 90 days’ notice on this page. Beyond that date the site may continue indefinitely, but no guarantee is made.
7. Your responsibilities
You confirm that you own or are licensed to use the image you upload, and that displaying it here infringes nobody’s copyright, trademark, or other rights. You are responsible for the content of the site you link to. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your artwork or your link.
Uploaded images are converted to PNG and cropped to your block dimensions. Metadata, including EXIF and any location data, is removed. Animation is not preserved.
8. Availability and liability
The site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your pixels.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Portugal. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Changes are not applied retroactively to blocks already purchased, except where required by law. The date at the top of this page shows the last revision.
